please read the terms below carefully before making a booking
MATTED COAT
If knots are only in small areas happy to offer dematting service for an extra cost - £15 up to 15 minutes
but If your pet is Severely Matted will be shaved off for their care and well being for an extra cost between £10- £20 on the top of regular price , depend of your dog size. A shavedown consumes significantly more time, labour, products & tool/equipment wear and tear than a routine trim therefore will incur an extra charge. Clipping matted fur can, on occasion, result in skin irritation or itchiness. 4 Paws Dog Stylist will not be held responsible for any skin conditions or veterinary expenses arising from the removal of matted fur.
TIME KEEPING
Please arrive on time for your pet's grooming appointment. I operate on an appointment-only basis, and the slot for your pet's grooming has been reserved exclusively at your request. I do not double-book appointments, so a no-show results in lost income.
If you are more than 15 minutes late arriving for your dog's appointment, we may not have time to complete the groom, and it will count as a missed appointment, requiring full payment. Please contact us if you are running late. If you do not collect your dog at the agreed time, a late fee will also apply at £5 per 15 minutes (from 15 minutes late), charged pro-rata.
We offer a complimentary appointment reminder service via text, If you prefer to receive one please let us know. Most grooming sessions typically last about 2 hours, or possibly longer, depending on your dog's size, temperament, and the condition of its coat. You will be informed of the estimated time for pet collection. We recommend not returning to the salon before the designated time to avoid distracting your pet during the final stages of the grooming process. It's crucial that you pick up your pet at the agreed-upon time because, once the grooming is complete, your dog will be eager to return home. An extended stay may make your pet unsettled or anxious and potentially disrupt the grooming of the next dog in line
FLEAS
If you are aware that your dog has fleas you must notify us prior to the appointment. We do not accept dogs with fleas, this is to prevent cross-contamination with other dogs. Please notify the salon as soon as you are aware to allow us to reschedule the appointment to avoid them passing them on to other dogs. We reserve the right to refuse to groom a dog with fleas until they have been successfully treated and you may still be charged.
If fleas are found during the groom, We will treat your dog with a flea shampoo (at an additional cost depending on the size of your dog) which will kill any fleas on the body. However, you will need to treat your home, bedding, car, etc., and take the advice of your vet on flea prevention for your dog. Should we discover fleas on your dog it will incur an additional fee of to cover the cost of the flea shampoo and the products needed to protect our salon. Prompt collection is also required to enable us to flea treat the salon prior to our next client. Delay in collection will incur additional charges of £5 per 15 minutes and charged pro-rata.
MISSED APPOINTMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS
We require 48 hours notice for appointment cancelations.
late cancelation or missed appointment with no prior warning, will incur 50 % of the full groom price cost but if it happens again we will charge 100 % of the expected grooming cost, which will need to be paid in full before further appointments can be booked. Cancellations are sometimes unavoidable; we understand that life happens. Be aware that if you need to cancel, you may not get your dog in for a number of weeks.
If you consistently miss appointments or arrive late on a number of occasions we may refuse to to book any further slots and will remove your dog from our records.
ACCIDENTS
While we take the utmost care of your dog, accidents can happen. Dogs are liable to sudden movements, and we cannot be held responsible should this occur. You will be given a full explanation of any injuries when you collect your dog, including advice on any further action if needed.
AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOUR
​We will do our best to keep your dog calm during the groom. However, if your dog becomes aggressive, we will stop the groom. On collection of your dog, we will discuss options to help your dog overcome fear-based aggression during grooms. Muzzles, buster collars, or hammocks may be used where there is a benefit, for example, if your dog's nails are overgrown and causing discomfort or if your dog attempts to bite a staff member. We reserve the right to refuse to groom aggressive dogs.
COMPLAINTS
An initial consultation will take place before the groom to discuss how you want your dog to be groomed. In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with the groom, please communicate this to a staff member as soon after the groom as possible so that, where appropriate, it can be rectified but we don't accept any complains more than 3 days after the service (this may incur additional cost if you have changed your mind from the consultation agreement).
SOCIAL MEDIA
If you are satisfied with the way we have groomed your dog, feel free to post photos on social media, including our Facebook or Instagram pages. If you are dissatisfied with the groom, please discuss with us any issues you may have before posting negative comments on social media.
ADDITIONAL INFO

If your dog is suffering from any medical conditions that may affect the grooming process, please notify us before (recent surgeries, injuries, or if your female dog is in season/pregnant )

If your pet does not tolerate being around other dogs in the salon, there will be an additional fee for exclusive salon access. Please get in touch with us to have a conversation about this matter.
